Halifax Bank Case Study
Mr J contacted Scottish Claims as he had been sold loans by Halifax in 2006 and Halifax had included PPI policies in the loan. He did not have the original agreements.
We were able to apply for the original agreements on behalf of Mr J and the terms of the agreements were reviewed and we were satisfied there were reasons to argue that the policies were mis-sold.
After discussions with Mr J covering what he could recall about the sale of the PPI policies, he believing that the policies were simply part of the loan, detailed complaints were issued to Halifax on his behalf. Mr J had also successfully claimed on one of the policies as a result of time off work.
Within 2 months we had successfully resolved the claims. Mr J received £4,800 compensation and in addition his loan balance and monthly payments were reduced.
