EGG Bank Case Study
Mr W took out a credit card online in 2005 with Egg. He was charged for a payment protection policy on a monthly basis, the premiums being shown on his monthly statements. He contacted Capital Claims for advice.
After requesting the original credit card agreement from Egg we considered that he had not received any explanations regarding the policy. Mr W could not recall agreeing to take out the policy.
A complaint was issued and within one month the PPI policy was cancelled by Egg and Mr W received a full refund of all the premiums he had paid, plus interest since 2005.
